The pizza immigration to the Valley continues.
In January, New Jersey-based 1000 Degrees Neapolitan Pizza announced it would open three Arizona locations under the franchise of Randy and Ban Kassab of Capital Pizza Ventures.
The duo opened their first location at 7000 E. Mayo Blvd. Suite 1002 at the 101 and Scottsdale Shopping Center on Jan. 31, and next Thursday, June 16, the pizzeria will open its second Valley location at 2224 E. Williams Field Road, Suite 112 in SanTan Village, next to Chipotle.
“Ban and I look forward to opening our doors in SanTan Village and continuing to share our love for pizza with the metro Phoenix area,” Kassab said in a statement.
1000 Degrees Neapolitan Pizza is estimating it will open more than 80 units by the end of 2016, and projecting an additional 170 units by 2017.
The concept has locations in New Jersey, Michigan, Arizona, California, Virginia, Ohio, Texas, Connecticut, North Dakota and Florida.
It is part of a crowded pizza marketplace in Phoenix, which has grown into a pizza lover’s paradise with offerings from the national chains such as Pizza Hut and Domino’s as well as build-your-own, fast-casual concepts like Pizza Studio and Fired Pie. Phoenix also is home to one of the most critically acclaimed pizzerias in the country, Pizzeria Bianco.
