1000 Degrees Neapolitan Pizza heats up Nassau Bay Town Square

PRESS RELEASE

1000 Degrees Neapolitan Pizza, a fast-casual American spin on authentic, hand-tossed Neapolitan pizza, is coming to the Nassau Bay Town Square with the opening of its Nassau Bay location on Thursday, May 12. The new restaurant is located at 18032 Saturn Lane off I-45, directly across the main gates of the Johnson Space Center.

To celebrate the new restaurant, the first 10 guests through the doors on Thursday, May 12 at 11 a.m. will win free pizza for a year. In addition, all guests who visit the grand opening between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m. and like 1000 Degrees on Facebook, follow on Instagram or Twitter, will receive a free 10” pizza of their choice.

1000 Degrees serves beer and wine in addition to personalized, made-to-order authentic Neapolitan pizza. Each pizza starts with fresh, never frozen, hand-tossed dough, created with authentic Neapolitan “00” flour and available in both a personal 10” and shareable 14” sizes. Guests then choose to create their own pizza or order one of the 1000 Degrees Favorites.

The Nassau Bay 1000 Degrees is the third location to open in Texas, owned by Chris and Alice Chandler and operated by Nelson Hernandez. Chris and Alice have a second location in development in Deer Park set to open this summer.

“We saw the Houston area as a relatively untapped market for this type of concept serving fast-casual, authentic Neapolitan-style pizza,” said Chris. “We’re looking forward to opening our doors and sharing our love for pizza with the community.”

Customizing a 1000 Degrees pizza is truly a unique experience, as guests can choose to top theirs with any of the more than 50 high quality cheeses, sauces, meats, vegetables and other toppings all for one flat price. While choosing their toppings, customers are guided down an assembly line of pizza consultants to create a pizza that is totally unique to them.

Outside of the build your own option, there are more than 12 varieties of specialty pizzas including favorites like The Smokey Pollo, also known as Barbecue Bourbon Chicken, which features sweet and smokey bourbon barbecue sauce, roasted chicken, red onion, pineapple, shredded Grande brand mozzarella and blue cheeses, and The Philly, which is a cheese steak pizza topped with thinly sliced rib-eye, caramelized Spanish onions, balsamic glaze, shredded Grande brand mozzarella and provolone cheeses. Pizzas are then fired to perfection at 1000 degrees in a custom, handmade, revolving Neapolitan brick oven in just two minutes.

“1000 Degrees is on fire and we’re certainly heating up Nassau Bay with the opening of our third location in Texas,” said 1000 Degrees CEO and Founder Brian Petruzzi. “I’m confident that we serve the best hand-tossed Neapolitan pizza in the area and provide an unparalleled customer experience that will keep people coming back for more.”

Unlike traditional Neapolitan pizza which has a slightly undercooked center and requires a fork and knife to eat, 1000 Degrees Neapolitan Pizza has fused this classic style with American flare. The result is a thin crust pizza that maintains the light and airy appeal of a Neapolitan style pizza.

1000 Degrees pizza captures American appeal and old world Neapolitan flavor. The company currently has more than 10 domestic restaurants open and one international location in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. 1000 Degrees is growing at a rapid pace, estimating it will open more than 80 units by the end of 2016, and projecting an additional 170 units by 2017.

1000 Degrees in Nassau Bay is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. To learn more about 1000 Degrees Neapolitan Pizza or to be part of its daily free pizza contests, please visit www.facebook.com/1000-Degrees-Neapolitan-Pizzeria-of-Nassau-Bay-1720226748199258/?ref=py_c or call (281) 532-6877.

1000 Degrees Neapolitan Pizza in Austin, Texas

It’s all in the name. This Trenton, New Jersey pizza shop is the first in Austin, but they brought their dough to town and are serving up seriously delicious pizzas baked at 1000 degrees.

Immediately upon walking in you are greeted with a big smile and hello. The 1000 Degrees team prides itself in delivering a personalized experience and it starts with asking you what your name is. Part of this is to identify which order is yours, but part of it is so they can call you by your name! They want to know you and make a point to remember you. It goes a long way and set the whole dining experience off on a good start.

Pizza at 1000 Degrees really gets going with the dough. It is hand made, tossed fresh daily, and made with real “00” Neapolitan flour. The pies are then topped with the highest quality cherry and San Marzano tomato sauce, fresh veggies, Burke Farms Meats and Grande’ brand cheeses. It’s old-world Neapolitan flavor paired with North Eastern United States crust. Which makes for one mouthwatering pizza, down to the last bite!

The Austin location is in the Arbor Walk, near DSW shoes. You can choose to build your own pizza with as many toppings as you want for one great price! Or you can pick from their signature pizza combinations like the Tuscan Chicken made with shredded mozzarella, asiago, chicken, spinach, and marinated balsamic sun dried tomatoes. And the Meatza made with Marinara, mozzarella, pepperoni, bacon, Italian sausage, and crumbled meatballs. Basically a meat lovers dream!

And it’s all made in a custom revolving Neapolitan oven that heats up to 1000 degrees. It takes each pizza just 2 minutes in the oven to bake to perfection. With such extreme heat, and fast cooking times, the highest quality cheeses, sauces, meats and veggies maintain their true taste, leading to a very flavorful pizza.

The toppings are delicious, the service is friendly, and the crust is what will keep me coming back for more!

So give them a try, and when you go, be sure to tell them Dine With Shayda sent you! And follow me on Instagram at @DineWithShayda for my daily food adventures.

1000 Degrees Pizza – Cupertino By San Jose Food Blog

Cupertino welcomes the latest fast-casual pizzeria, 1000 Degrees Pizza, from New Jersey. The chain is a franchise and the Cupertino location is currently the only one in California. I was invited by the chain for a complimentary meal. Here are my thoughts.
They serve personal sized pizzas made from authentic Neapolitan flour. The dough is never frozen and is made fresh. It bakes in this very stylish round oven with a rotating stone base. The stone turns around like a Lazy Susan and it evenly distributes the heat. The pizza is done within about 2 minutes.
($7.95) 10″ Classic Margherita with Pepperoni – I ordered my favorite, the Classic Margherita with pepperoni. It was very satisfying. I could not be more pleased with the dough. They actually spin it out by hand and the shape is endearingly not a perfect round. It had just the right amount of air but was still thin.

($8.95) Customized 10″– Sriracha marinara, mozzarella, all meat except ham, mushrooms, jalapeno, onions
They allow unlimited toppings here. Phil always loves that because he adds almost all the meat then a few choice vegetables. This was an excellent combo. The Sriracha marinara sauce does add a bit of zing to the pie.

Between the two fast-casual pizzeries I have tried so far, Blaze and Pieology, 1000 Degrees has the best dough. It rises a bit more than Blaze’s and it has a crust unlike Pieology’s.
